Cycle and Walk the WAVE aka The WAVE Weekend

Cycle and Walk the WAVE is a fully supported, non-competitive all-women cycling event presented by The WAVE Foundation. Celebrating fitness and empowerment, personal goals and achievement, we unite women to take a stand against sexual assault and domestic violence and the impact it has on our society.

Team Up or Ride Solo to Ride & Give! We are thrilled to be cycling into our 11th year! Over the past decade we’ve raised more than $1 Million thanks to our sponsors and fundraising efforts of our participants, benefiting agencies in the community and The WAVE Foundation’s “Discover Your Power” youth education program. PATH Ride: The WAVE Foundation supports the movement to end trafficking of humans through the organization Seattle Against Slavery (SAS) and its cycling event, PATH (Pedal Against Trafficking Humans). There is also a 5k walk. The event is a local grassroots effort. The 5th annual PATH ride will be held on March 24, 2018 at Seward Park.

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes   October 21, 2017 at 11:30am in the Quad. The University of Washington Alpha Chi Omega Rho Chapter hosts this men’s march against domestic violence in which men literally walk a mile in high heels. This is a family friendly event only 1 mile long around the beautiful UW campus. Proceeds will benefit The WAVE Foundation. Donations welcome of cash and of high heels sizes 9 and above. There are never enough heels available for all the men who want to participate!

Lake to Lake Family Bike Ride   The City of Bellevue offers this annual family friendly bike ride in June at Lake Hills Community Park.  Register online here or day of event at 8 a.m. Ride begins at 9 a.m.  Two routes available: a nine mile, mostly flat greenbelt loop and a more challenging and hilly 22 lake loop. The rides have about 20% off road gravel and 80% paved roads. Cycle the WAVE is a partner with Lake to Lake. We recommend bikes with fatter tires to accommodate the gravel areas. A fun look into Bellevue’s beautiful park areas that you don’t see otherwise!

PATH The WAVE Foundation supports the movement to end trafficking of humans through the organization Seattle Against Slavery (SAS) and its cycling event, PATH (Pedal Against Trafficking Humans). Path also has a 5k Walk!
