2016 Cycle the WAVE was held on Sunday, September 18th

It was a major success – awesome particpants and beautiful weather

874 registered participants – 782 riders, 92 walkers.
Rider age range?
Oldest rider – 77 years; youngest 7 years.
34 riders under 18; 212 riders over 50.
How many teams?
66 teams; 367 team participants.
Where did participants come from?
7 different states; 93 WA cities; 218 from Seattle; 98 from Bellevue; 105 from Issaq/Samm.
How much did CtW raise?
$175,297; 275 individuals raised funds for CtW.
Did CtW achieve their fundraising goal?
So far we have not reached our goal of $225,000 this year, though matching funds are still coming in and we continue to inch our way to goal!  We had over 35 fundraisers raising $500 and more!

Cycle the WAVE (Women Against Violence Everywhere), is a fully supported, non-competitive, all-women’s cycling event in its 9th year. It is a bike event for women of all ages and fitness levels to experience camaraderie, increase awareness of domestic violence through visibility and to raise funds for domestic violence programs across Washington State.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAll routes culminate at the fantastic Finish Line Festival reception…Revel and delight yourself with the special touches that make Cycle the WAVE so unique – signature foods, a new celebration wine & beer garden, pampering, cheerleaders and all kinds of fun surprises along the route.

You’ll be amazed at how easy it is to raise money through our awesome no-pressure fundraising program. Of course you can opt just to pay the low flat registration fee and ride…but you would miss out on some of the most rewarding aspects of the event. It’s all about the power of women supporting each other, and giving back to the community!

Stay tuned for the new 2017 jersey! The 10th Annivesary  edition will be available in March 2017. When registering you will have the opportunity of purchasing the 2017 Cycle the WAVE jersey and arm warmers!  You will also be able to purchase at the WAVE Store without going through the registration process here.
